Praying Together
Praying together as a community.
This prayer list is updated weekly and added to our Sunday bulletins as a resource for public and private prayer as a community.
You may use the form at the bottom of this page to submit a prayer for the list.
We pray for our church community, that we may be challenged and stretched to become even more inclusive and inviting as we live into our new welcome statement.
We pray for Bishop Donna Simon and Assistant to the Bishop Chad Langdon who began their tenure leading the Central States Synod of the ELCA this week.
Creating God, Help us to be the people you would have us be, caring for our neighbors: not just the people in our families, or the people next to us in the pew, but the people of the whole world, who are crying out for justice and peace.
Redeeming God, Help us to be the people you would have us be, loving ourselves: not so that we can be overconfident or arrogant, but so that we might be strong and capable of reaching out, taking a position, and making a difference.
Sustaining God, Help us to be the people you would have us be, building the world you would have us live in, caring for creation, not so that we can dominate or fix things we don’t understand, but so that we can listen, understand, and help where needed.
